As a fraternal organization, Freemasonry unites men of good character who, though of different religious, ethnic or social backgrounds, share a belief in the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of mankind. We, the Brothers of Recovery Lodge No. 31, have operated under charter of the Grand Lodge of South Carolina since 1817. Our members have consisted of prominent Businessmen, Clergymen, Mayors, Military Servicemen, and a United States Representative who eventually became Secretary of War. We hope to promote Masonry in Greenville County in a way that attracts new members, inspires existing members to be active and continue their Masonic education, brings value to the community, instills pride in the Lodge, and creates interaction with the entire Masonic Family.
